PET/SHOW KITTEN PURCHASE CONTRACT

Between Kathy & Sharon Thompson, DBA House of Rock Ragdolls (Hereinafter called
the Seller) And ______________________________(Hereinafter called the Purchaser)
1. The Purchaser agrees to buy from the Seller the following cat upon the terms and conditions of this agreement:

2. The Purchaser shall pay to Seller the sum of $_____________ for this cat. A deposit
of ___$200/400___is acknowledged. Balance received $____________.
3. The Seller and the Purchaser acknowledge and agree that the cat is being
purchased as:

4. Purchaser agrees to have this cat neutered/spayed by a qualified and licensed veterinarian (at the purchaser's expense) around 7-8 months of age and to provide written proof from the veterinarian to the seller.
5. The Seller agrees to provide to the Purchaser the cat's registration papers or
application for registration, within a month after proof of spay/neuter is received.
6. This cat is not for breeding. If the purchaser is found to be using this kitten/cat as a breeder, a fine of $5000.00 will be due to the Seller along with submission of the cat. Purchaser will also be responsible for all attorney fees involved.
7. The Purchaser agrees that they will not authorize or permit this cat to be declawed for any reason.
8. The Purchaser agrees that this cat will not be sold, leased, loaned or given to any pet shop, research laboratory or similar facility.
9. The Purchaser agrees that they are not purchasing this cat on behalf of another party. This contract cannot be assigned/transferred to any third party without permission of the Seller in writing.
10. The Purchaser agrees that the Seller will be notified immediately of any intended disposition. The Seller retains the first option to re-adopt this cat.
11. The Purchaser agrees that this cat will not be allowed outdoors unsupervised. This would render all health guarantees void. Ragdolls have been killed from bird attack outside even when the owner is nearby, so we suggest leashing your kitty for even short outdoor walks.
12. The Purchaser is advised to have a veterinarian health check in the first 48 hours of possession to confirm that the cat is in good health. Seller will refund full purchase price immediately and take the kitten back if the veterinarian provides a written statement that the cat/kitten is not healthy.
13. Vaccinations: The Seller will supply record of vaccinations this cat/kitten has received. The cat/kitten will come with age appropriate kitten vaccinations:
1) Panleukopenia; 2) Rhinotracheitis; 3) Calicivirus
Kitten has been de-wormed multiple times and should continue to receive regular de-wormings (every 6 months or so)
This cat/kitten can never be allowed to receive FIP or Feline AIDs vaccines, or steroid eye drops. They can never receive two shots on the same day. Health guarantees are void if any of these things happen.
14. Health Guarantees:
(a) Cat is guaranteed for 48 hours against upper respiratory infection, fleas,
worms, fungus and ear mites.
(b) Seller guarantees the cat does not have FELV, FIP or PKD at the time of pickup, delivery or shipment.
(c) Seller guarantees kitten against any serious genetic defects such as heart, kidney, and liver for a period of two (2) years. If the cat dies before two years of age from hereditary or congenital defects, Seller agrees to replace the cat, or refund the purchase price, if Purchaser provides proof of defect in the form of a necropsy (autopsy) report from an impartial licensed veterinarian.
15. The Purchaser is responsible for all veterinarian expenses incurred while the
cat is in the Purchaser's care.
16. Purchaser's signature below indicates full agreement and approval to all
above terms and conditions. All terms and conditions remain in effect for the life of the cat/kitten.
